From the bright red envelopes to the beautifully painted stones celebrating the Year of the Pig, everyone felt the importance and warmth of the evening on a cold winter night. Our special guest, Len Isleifson, MLA for Brandon East, hared his story of being welcomed at last fall’s Seniors Event and how trying a few moves with the group saved him on the icy sidewalks this winter. This sprinkled in a dash of humour and laughter for everyone. Story telling, the flavours of the evening from the sumptuous eight dishes and the robust and happy conversations from 100 attendees, provided a great beginning for a wonderful Year of the Pig.
