The Tiger's Mouth Blog: The Value of Discipline in Self-Practice
I initially joined classes in Taoist Tai Chi® arts last Fall because they were offered in the daytime. I was searching for a way to increase my flexibility and stay in the present moment both for health reasons and for spiritual development. I soon enjoyed a connection with the group as we practiced together.
I have always done some practice on my own, and have added more since classes were suspended. I practice the movements in my suite, at a park, and visually before I go to sleep.
When life becomes too hectic, I realize the value of discipline in self-practice to aid in stress reduction, joint flexibility and relaxation.
